The Dementia Care Awards recognition

We are very pleased to share that Dementia Actif Gwynedd has received 'Highly Commended' status at the national awards 'The Dementia Care Awards - Celebrating Excellence in Dementia Care' following our Intergenerational Boccia Tournament project that took place earlier in the year. 

As part of this project, dementia friends awareness sessions were delivered to 9 Gwynedd Primary Schools; 157 pupils. Following the visits to the schools, the schools attended the Boccia Tournament along with 12 teams from Dementia Actif Gwynedd. It was a great day with 150 players of all ages having lots of fun, chatting with new friends, and creating memories while raising awareness about dementia.

With a clear and unwavering commitment to improving the lives of all who live in the county, it not only addresses local needs but also inspires meaningful connecting, inclusion, and long-term positive changes'.
