Intergenerational Boccia Tournament

12 Dementia Actif Gwynedd teams

150 players of all ages and from all over Gwynedd.

A fantastic day – lots of fun, chatting with new friends and making memories while raising awareness about dementia.

A huge contratulations to the champions - Ysgol Hafod Lon . A very well deserved victory after playing brilliantly in the final against Heini Llŷn.

A big thank you to all the volunteers who made the event a success, and to Seren Ffestiniog for preparing a wonderful packed lunch for everyone. A big thank you also to Owain Llŷr, Gweledgiaeth, for filming the whole event.

As part of the project, Dementia Actif Gwynedd vistied each of the schools to do a Dementia Friends information sessions to raise awareness of dementia, and to deliver a Boccia taster session so that they could practise before the big day. We are very hopeful that boccia will continue in the schools with their new boccia sets.
